Thomas has been coaching at WSSC since 2015. He coaches a boys team, and believes in "The way you practice - The  way you play". Thomas currently serves as the Directory of Coaching (DoC). He is originally from Switzerland and is passionate about soccer.

Abdolhossein "Hossein" Edalati

WS B16 Red (Blaugranas)

Hossein is a graduate student at UC Davis studying Bio & Agricultural Engineering. He specializes in Waste Management, Energy Systems, and Sustainability. He is passionate about soccer and coaching. He has coached the WS Blaugranas 2008B Rec team since 2016. He has played soccer since the age of 4. Growing up, Hossein played middle school ball, at the recreational level from age 13-17, Spring Select, and still actively plays as much as he can. He believes in the power of this beautiful game to bring people of all backgrounds together, to teach life lessons, and to promote a healthy, active lifestyle. He believes that the best way to improve as a coach is to observe and learn up close from as many different coaches as he can. In addition to the Blaugranas, he works with many other teams in West Sac Soccer Club, both boys and girls from U6 through U16.

Dominique "Dom" Forrester  WS B14 Red (Wolfpack)

Dom Forrester was born and raised in West Sacramento, California.  He has been coaching soccer for 10 years at recreational and competitive levels.  His passion for soccer stems from his joy in coaching athletics and teaching youth.  In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, watching sports, and spending time with family.  He chose to coach at West Sacramento Competitive Soccer because he felt he could help cultivate a winning attitude and team in the city where he was raised. His philosophy about soccer and player development is to work hard, respect others, and positive results will follow.  Consistent with his work life as a licensed Civil Engineer, Dom also enjoys the technical and strategical aspect of soccer.

Richard "Rico" Novoa Jr.

WS B06 Red &

Goalkeeper Coach

Rico was born and raised in West Sacramento, CA. He has been playing soccer for 27 years at the recreational, competitive, high school, and adult amateur levels. He was introduced to the game of soccer through the WSSC. More specifically, from his late father, Rico Novoa Sr. who was the Club’s Founder, Past Board Member, past and first ever Coach. Rico played recreationally and competitively at WSSC. He also played at River City High School. Rico Sr. was Founder of the semi-professional team, the Sacramento Gold, and Rico Jr, along with his father, owned the team. He trained with the Sac Gold for a year, helped manage the team on a day to day basis, and was owner until 2012, when he sold their rights. Since age 16, Rico has been Coaching and Officiating with the WSSC and has nearly 16 years of experience doing both. He is currently the Competitive Program and Field Coordinator. He is passionate about soccer and player development, and is very familiar with the City, Community, and the Club. He believes that no goal is unattainable. Through consistent hard work, dedication, mental toughness and confidence, you can reach your goal. "Train like you must win. Play like you can't lose".

Leo Villasenor

Leo Villaseñor was born and raised in Dixon, California. He has been playing and coaching soccer for over 30 years at the recreational, competitive, high school, college, and adult amateur levels. His passion for soccer stems from his love of the game and teamwork.  In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.  He chose to coach the West Sacramento Competitive Soccer team because he would like to pass on the knowledge and life lessons he has learned from playing the beautiful game.  His philosophy about soccer and player development is to emphasize teamwork, trust, and effective communication.

Guillermo "Memo" Villegas Jr.  WS B13 Red (West Sac FC)

Guillermo “Memo” Villegas Jr. was born and raised in West Sacramento, California.  He has been coaching for the past 23 years. He has coached at the recreational, middle school, competitive, and high school levels. He still plays soccer for several adult leagues in the greater Sacramento Area. His passion for soccer stems from his childhood memories of staying active in soccer which kept him out of trouble. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer, coaching, and tending to his many exotic pets.  He chose to coach at West Sacramento Competitive Soccer because he wants to give back to the kids in his hometown community. His philosophy about soccer and player development is “Focus on fundamentals not about winning when you’re young; the winning will come later.”
